Hlekweni has yet achieved another milestone .64 trainees has graduated in various disciplines that encompasses Building, Agriculture, Early Childhood Development, Plumbing and Carpentry. Present stakeholders including government departments, Non governmental organasations, children’s homes and ministry of youth and indegenisation. Among the graduands are the 15 trainees that were Quaker sponsored.

Mid February brought Hlekweni its first crop from the drip irrigation scheme. The harvested tomatoes provide extra food for the kitchen and are also being put on sale locally. This marks the beginning of income generation from the drip irrigation fields.
